SATURDAY, MARCH 18 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
The truth and love for LGBT community is the focus of this seminar. We offered the material in January over a four week period and this is an opportunity to experience the material in one day. This is a very relevant topic for our church and for living in our current culture. Many people have family and friends who are involved in the LGBT community. It is not always easy to live in the tension of knowing the truth of God’s Word regarding sexuality and at the same time the call of God’s Word to love others no matter what they do. We can find ourselves on the defensive and not feeling free to love or know what love looks like when you disagree. Or we can find ourselves compromising the truth because we don’t know how to disagree with someone we love.
We highly recommend you read the book before attending. They are for sale at the book table for $10. The videos we watch at the seminar will be complimentary to the book but will not repeat some of the foundational things the book offers.
Feel free to invite others who desire to learn and experience what is being offered. We will not be debating the topic but seeking together to understand and discern what it looks like to live in the tension of God’s truth and grace like Jesus did.
Teens, Parents, and Those Who Work With Teens
Josh McDowell delivers frank and intimate answers to 43 top questions students ask about sex, love and relationships. Josh believes no question is off limits and that knowledge, not ignorance, is the key to youthful purity and
a fulfilling marriage and family.
Pastors Jeff & Jani along with their teens invite you to join them for this two part event on Sunday, March 26 and April 2 at 6:00 p.m. We will watch DVD’s of Josh McDowell speaking with a group of teens and address 43 questions. This will educate as well as give parents and teens opportunity to have discussion on their own together.
If you plan to attend, please reply to this email with your R.S.V.P. This will be held in the Praise Cafe. We can also give you a copy of the list of topics that will be discussed. Feel free to invite other families outside the church who
may also be interested.
