Pastor Jeff Dahlin has been the lead Pastor at PCC from our inception in June, 2003. Prior to serving at Praise Community Church, Jeff served eight years in a mainline denominational church. Jeff, and his wife, Jani, both have a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, graduating in May, 1994. Jeff professed his faith in Christ and received his call to full-time ministry while attending a Christian camp the summer of 1983. Prior to entering seminary, Jeff taught for four years in the Davenport Community School system. Jeff's passions are preaching and teaching. His vision for the church is to equip the people in the pews to recognize their spiritual gifts, nurture those gifts, and then empower them to disciple those in the church and reach out to, and evangelize the unchurched.
Jeff and Jani were married June 18th, 1994, and currently have six wonderful children: Ryan, Evan, Logan, Megan, Morgan, and Kierstan.
Jani Spends most of her day at home with the children, who she homeschools. She enjoys working out at Curves, various sewing hobbies, selling on ebay, and scrapbooking. At church she is involved with women's and children's ministries, a member of the worship council, and volunteers where needed. Jeff's hobbies are stained glass, reading, wood working projects, and working in the outdoors. Jeff was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. Jani was born and raised in the Indianapolis area. They look forward to a long, blessed, and prosperous ministry at Praise Community Church where they are committed to "Changing Lives Through The Unchanging Word |

Amy Palmer, Director of Community Life, has been on staff since September 2007. With over ten years experience with Small Group Ministry, she was brought on board to develop small groups at Praise and to transition it into becoming a church "of" small groups. This means that all (or most) ministry will happen through the vehicle of small groups so that people can be cared for, serve, and learn more about Christ in transforming Biblical community.
Amy has a passion for creating a place of belonging for every individual in the body of Christ. She is also using this God-given passion to help develop the spiritual gifts ministry to help individuals find their "sweet-spot" of service at Praise. Her own spiritual gifts include: faith, administration and shepherding.
Having lived in Clear Lake since she was 13, she continues to reside there with her husband Chris, a sales representative for Nestle' Foods. They have a teenage son, Adam, who is at home; and a daughter, Sarah, who is involved in missions in Colorado. As a family, they enjoy chocolates, board games, and traveling. Chris and Adam are baseball fanatics collecting memorabilia, bobble-heads, and attending as many games possible during the season. In her spare time, Amy enjoys making mosaics out of broken china, cooking, and watching HGTV. |
